RON MADDEN, President - RMadden@mici.com

Ron has served as the President of MICI since its inception in 1988. He continues to oversee MICI with a focus on administrative and financial operations.


Ron began his career working in various General Electric accounting positions located in New Jersey and New York from 1960 to 1969. He moved to Portland in 1969 to serve as an accountant in General Electric's Portland-based machine operations. From 1978 to 1982, Ron was the manager of General Electric Company Instrumentation and Control Division. He left there in 1982 to become the President and Owner of Portland-based Mill and Power Specialties. In 1985, Ron left Mill and Power Specialties to become the Manager of the Portland office of Northwest Industrial Maintenance.


He held this position until 1988 when he became the President and Founder of Madden Industrial Craftsmen, Inc.


ISABELLE MADDEN, Vice President/Secretary - Mici@mici.com

Isabelle is the Vice President/Secretary and Founder of Madden. In addition to supporting all of the operations, Isabelle is responsible for Employee and Customer Care, including arranging all client and employee social and networking events.


Prior to founding MICI, she was the Founder/Owner for Norge Cleaners West, an independently owned and operated dry cleaning service and coin-operated laundry facility.


KEN MADDEN, Vice President Sales and Marketing - KMadden@mici.com

Ken has overall responsibility for supporting the sales and recruiting efforts of all Madden Industrial locations.


He has extensive experience in the temporary services industry, serving as the Vice President for Sales and Marketing for Madden Industrial Craftsmen since 1988. Prior to joining MICI, Ken was a sales representative for a major food distributor and for a long distance telephone carrier, where he was recognized for excellence in sales and customer support.


Ken is very active in the staffing industry, having served as President of the Staffing Association of Oregon and Southwest Washington; on the Advisory Committee for welding technology and construction management at Portland Community College, as an Advisor to the Austin Family Business Program at Oregon State University; on the loss prevention and claims review committee of the Liberty Contractors Group; and as an Advisor and Guest Speaker on Human Resource issues for the Oregon Metals Summit. He is also a member of the American Staffing Association, National Association of Placement Services, United Employers Association, National Safety Council and Association of General Contractors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oregon State University and is a Certified Personnel Consultant.

Paul Madden has been Vice President Finance and Operations for Madden Industrial since in 1988. He is also a Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist.


Portland - Vancouver Recruiting Team


RANDY SHELTON - RShelton@mici.com (Beaverton Office)

Randy has worked in Human Resources in a number of industries. His experience began in the retail industry and since that time, he has held a number of Human Resource positions in the insurance and high-tech fields. He was formerly a Branch Manager in the temporary staffing industry, and has a Professional in Human Resources certification, a Bachelor's degree from OSU, and an MBA from Portland State University.


RAQUEL LUYTEN - RLuyten@mici.com (Beaverton Office)

Raquel joined the MICI team in 1999 as a Recruiter in the Beaverton office. She is responsible for recruitment and placement of industrial/construction laborers, welders, equipment operators, machinists and other trade specialists.


Prior to her employment with Madden, Raquel was a Sales Representative for Kellogg's. She quickly moved up the corporate ladder to the key position of Senior Account Manager responsible for marketing, mass media and in-store promotions. Raquel oversaw all sales activity at one of Kellogg's largest retail accounts. She received various national and local awards for her exceptional work.


Raquel graduated in 1990 from the University of Oregon with two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Marketing and one in Management.


MIRELDA VILLAGOMEZ - mvillagomez@mici.com (Vancouver Office)

Mirelda joined the MICI team in April of 2008 as a Recruiter in the Vancouver office. Mirelda is responsible for recruitment and placement of industrial/construction laborers, welders, equipment operators, machinists, and other skill trade specialists. She brings MICI over 8 years of staffing experience, having been employed by two national staffing agencies and was Human Resource Generalist for a national polyurethane company. As Human Resources Generalist she was responsible for the screening and staffing of all three shifts and for all their CDL truck drivers. Mirelda was also safety director and handled safety-related issues and training of hearing conservation, log out tag out, confined space and Contingency plan. Mirelda was the first female to be Hazmat certified for that company. As a first responder, Mirelda was also in charge of maintaining all Hazmat equipment. She is bi-lingual (Spanish / English) and received Volunteer of the Year award for her dedication and service to disaster victims.


BARBARA SCHULZ - BSchulz@mici.com (Beaverton Office)

Barbara joined MICI in 1997 to work part-time during the summer months as a Recruiter and has been a full-time Recruiter in our Beaverton Office since August of 2000. Barbara graduated from Western Oregon University with a B.S. degree in Education and worked for three years as a substitute teacher. Prior to teaching, Barbara served as a Technical Recruiting Specialist with a California-based staffing agency. She has also worked in the accounting office of a local tool manufacturer, was an Executive Secretary and text editor for a software publisher and served as an Administrative Assistant for a printed circuit board and mechanical design firm. Barbara is certified by the National Association of Personnel Services as a Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist.

Jessica joined the Madden team in October of 2003 as our Vancouver front desk administrator. She has since been promoted to a position as an Industrial Recruiter for the Vancouver office. Prior to working in our office, she was employed in the construction field, as well as having worked as an administrative assistant with a large food production facility.


KARI MONTGOMERY - kmontgomery@mici.com (Beaverton Office)

Kari joined the MICI team as a recruiter in the Beaverton office in 2007. After many years as a district manager in the retail industry, Kari joined the staffing industry in 2000. Experienced with full-cycle recruiting and business development, Kari most enjoys getting to know a client's specific need and culture and expanding on that to find the perfect candidate. You can always find Kari eager to take a job order that seems impossible to fill.

SHANE BIRD - SBird@mici.com

Shane joined the MICI team in October 2000 as the Sales Representative in our Beaverton office. He is a Veteran of Desert Storm where he served as a Dedicated Crew Chief on both the F-16 and the Stealth Fighter aircraft. While serving his country, Shane was honored with several medals and ribbons and held the highest top-secret security clearance given by the military, S.B.I. - Special Background Investigation.


Success followed Shane into his civilian career as well. After leaving the military, Shane was owner/operator of a commercial printing business for six years. Shane's mechanical background combined with his experience as a business owner gives him a unique and keen insight to the challenges and goals our customers face.


JIM JOHNSON - JJohnson@mici.com

Jim has overall responsibility for Marketing and Development of the sales and recruiting efforts of our Vancouver Branch Office. He has more than 20 years of experience in the temporary staffing business. Prior to joining Madden, Jim served as District Manager, Area Manager, Branch Manager, and Technical Recruiter during his tenure with an international staffing service. Jim is very active with the Builders Industry Association of Clark County. He has served as membership committee chairmen and now serves on the Local Board of Directors, as well as on the State Board of Directors. He is past Vice President Associate. Jim also serves on the Clark College Welding Advisory Council. He has been active with Clark College for the past five years. He also has been active with the local chapter of the Staffing Services Association of Oregon, serving on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer. He is a graduate of Grand Canyon University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Training and Development and a Minor in Economics. Jim is also a Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist.


Portland - Vancouver Operations Team

Tessa joined our Operations Team as the Administrative Assistant for our Beaverton office in 2004. She brings to MICI valuable experience in office settings ranging from positions in retail, the medical field and distribution warehousing. All of these positions have been people-oriented, which fits well with her Sociology major. Her people skills contribute to the respectful and professional atmosphere of our front office, providing excellent customer service. Tessa is also MICI's Safety Committee Co-Chairperson. In this position, she assists with managing the company-wide safety program. After hours, Tessa is busy at home with her five teenagers!


SANDEE WAIDE - SWaide@mici.com (Beaverton Office)

Sandee wears many different hats here at Madden Industrial Craftsmen. She processes the payroll on a weekly basis for our temporary staffing employees, and administers all employee benefits including medical and dental insurance as well as our 401(k) plan. As the MICI Safety Coordinator, Sandee handles all worksite safety issues, conducts safety information awareness classes and is a Certified Forklift Trainer. Sandee instructs OSHA approved forklift safety classes for our employees as well as the employees of other local companies. Her previous employment includes 11 years of managing Worker's Compensation Claims for this state's largest private insurance carrier. She is certified by the State of Oregon as a Worker's Compensation Claims Examiner and is also a Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist.


CINDY VANDEHEY-PARRY - CVandehey-Parry@mici.com (Beaverton Office)

Responsibilities for accounts receivable and invoicing belong to Cindy, who has over ten years of experience as a bookkeeper, working with various software programs. She is proficient with aging analysis and conscientious in ensuring that the entire process flows with minimum interruption. She is always ready and able to work with customers who are faced with difficult economic situations.

Debra moved to the Vancouver area in 1992. She started with Madden Industrial Craftsmen in 1998 as Receptionist in our Vancouver office and was promoted to Administrative Assistant. She then became a Certified Staffing Specialist through NAPS Recruiter in 1999 and was again promoted to Payroll & Safety Assistant in 2004 and to Safety Supervisor in 2006. She holds an Associate's degree in Accounting.

Nikole is originally from the state of Ohio and moved here with her family and joined Madden in January of 2008. As our Vancouver Office Front Desk Administrator, she has brought with her a love for helping people reach their personal goals as a customer service representative and administrator, as well as document management specialist. She does a great job welcoming applicants and helping them through the application process and answering any questions they may have or by directing them in the appropriate direction. She also works well assisting the sales staff and management team members in their efforts.

Beth Madden opened Madden Industrial Craftsmen, Inc. - Seattle after devoting her efforts to assisting with franchise system development and internal management of the Portland Metro area operations. Prior to her employment with Madden Industrial, she was an independent consultant providing administrative and financial operations improvement advice to a variety of clients ranging from higher education institutions, to major non-profits, to banking institutions and small business operations. She holds a 1985 B.S. in Industrial Management from Purdue University and a 1991 MBA from the University of Michigan Business School. She has also been certified by the National Association of Personnel Services as a Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist. She is available to consult with you on your staffing needs or any operations improvements efforts you are currently pursuing.

Ken joined the MICI team in July 2009 as a Sales Representative in our Renton office. He served in the U.S.M.C., attended the University of Washington as a science major and has held a variety of sales and management positions. He's been in the construction staffing business for a decade and has a passion for our industry.

Jackie joined the Madden team in October of 2005. She is currently responsible for recruitment and placement of industrial/construction laborers, welders, mechanics, equipment operators, machinists and other trade specialists. She works tirelessly to find the right position for our applicants and the right candidates for our clients.


Prior to joining the Madden team, she worked in the cruise industry, where she demonstrated her excellent customer service in a position requiring resolution of customer travel concerns. Talk about stressful! Her strong resolve and ability to conquer difficult and stressful situations is due in part to growing up in a tight knit family with three brothers. Scott joined the Madden team in April of 2007. His career has included work with the United States Army as a recruiter, instructor, and trainer. He was also a licensed Real Estate agent, so working with applicants to provide them the best possible opportunities is his specialty. He currently is responsible for recruitment and placement of welders, mechanics, machinists, and all levels of carpenters. He works non-stop, trying to find the right employee for a position, with our clients and our company. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys. MARY DUNCAN, Payroll/Accounts Receivable - MDuncan@mici.com

Mary wears many different hats here at Madden Seattle. First and foremost, she oversees our weekly temporary staff payroll and handles all client billings. She also follows up on any outstanding accounts and works closely with the recruiting and sales teams when there is a billing discrepancy to make sure everything is taken care of. In addition to these key responsibilities, she assists with newsletter development, employee of the the month awards and other key projects.


KATRINA ALLEN, Front Desk Administrator - kallen@mici.com

Katrina is our newest addition to the Seattle Madden Team. She has an extensive background in administrative client services and provides a cheerful voice and outstanding customer service when you call or come into the Seattle office. Katrina is ready to answer any questions that may arise, and thrives at the craft of handling multiple situations successfully. When Katrina is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two boys, snowboarding, cooking and watching Boston Legal. She is ready to assist as the Seattle Front Desk Administrator.
